All qualifications are handled through the local zones. If you intend to try to qualify for this national event you must go through your local zone's qualification process. Please contact your zone chair for the dates and procedures to this end. The USA Water Polo Events Department will be in contact with the zone chairs, first advising how many slots are available for each division to each zone, then the zone chairs advise if they will be filling those slots, then they are advised how many additional slots are available and to which zones in the event that some slots are not claimed. This is a calculated process first giving a base amount to each zone, then additional slots based on zonal membership registrations, then possibly more if some are not claimed while still following the order based on membership registrations for each zone in that particular age group. This should all be done in a timely manner so that each zone knows how many slots are available to it for each particular division, ideally prior to that zone's qualification tournament for that particular division. Remember that this is NOT an Open Festival type of event, since all teams must qualify. This is THE premier age group collection of national championships and is the largest and most inclusive national event offered by USA Water Polo while arguable the largest water polo tournament in the world.
